Designer Bag Wishlist

So one post that I’ve been really looking forward to writing about is this one – My Designer Bag Wishlist. Designer bags are something I’ve lusted over for such a long time now and after investing in all the tech I could need for my career, it’s finally time for me to start saving towards my first high-end designer bag! With one of these in particular aiming to be my first, I thought I’d share with you my top 5 dream bags which one day, probably after an unlikely lottery win I would love to own!

Gucci Soho Disco

Gucci Soho Green

It seems as if every blogger and their dog has a Gucci Soho Disco bag and this emerald beauty is top of my hit list. Luckily it is also the cheapest (WOO) at £640 on Net-A-Porter which I think is very reasonable for such a beautiful, practical bag with such a prestigious name. The bag comes in a variety of different colours, red seems to be the most popular one I’ve seen, but as green is my favourite colour, it has to be this one for me! (Hopefully, soon!)

Chloe Faye Backpack

Chloe Faye Backpack

Now this gorgeous bag is a very recent addition to my wishlist, after seeing Hello October (who has an INSANE bag collection) rocking this in her recent holiday vlogs. And let me tell you now, it was love at first sight. I’m really not one for plain black bag for day-to-day, even though that seems like the smarter option when investing in a bag so it can go with everything, I just love this gorgeous pop of colour. Currently listed at £1,290 it’s basically double the price of the Gucci bag so will definitely take a lot more saving!

Valentino Lock (Medium)

Valentino Lock

I am absolutely obsessed with anything and everything Valentino and this stunning bag is no exception. This style is the medium version as I see this as more of a night bag rather than day to day and I tend to take FAR too much out in the evenings with me. My night out wardrobe pretty much consists of all black everything with gold jewellery so I think this would compliment it all perfectly.  Listed at £1,395, (as you can see we’re going up in price here, eek) it is a LOT for just an evening bag but realistically, I’m pretty sure I would wear it all day, every day if I did own it. Also like, can we just.. I mean it’s STUNNING.

Givenchy Antigona (Small)

Another cult blogger favourite it seems but I have also fallen deeply into the trap of the gorgeous Givenchy Antigona bag. Look at it, it’s so dreamy. It’s structured design is something I really love in a bag. It’s one of those bags that’s like “Yeah, I’ve got my shit together, this is definitely filled with a filofax and other important items and definitely not snacks and old receipts”. At the not-so-pocket-friendly price of £1,490 it’s definitely another investment piece, but especially in this beautiful pale blue colour I am in LOVE. And one day, hopefully, it will be mine!

Chanel Boy Bag

And last, but dear God in certainly no means least, the master of all designer bags. The Chanel Boy. This bag, in this heart-shatteringly beautiful dark teal colour and gold metal hardware, is THE be all and end all bag of my dreams. I honestly can’t even cope. Now there is a pretty much one in a million chance of me ever owning this bag and I have sadly come to terms with that. One of the many factors being that it is £3,550 and the other that it is also incredibly rare (as far as I’m aware). It is part of the Chanel “Metiérs D’art 2016/17 Paris Cosmopolite” collection and I’ve never seen it anywhere but the website. This does completely break my heart and if I do ever get that incredibly unlikely lottery win, I will travel far and wide to track one of these bad boys down (get it, cause it’s a boy bag… I’ll stop, I’m sorry).

So that was my all time, top 5 designer bags wish list! I would love to know what bags any of you are lusting after or even if anyone is incredibly lucky enough to own one!

Ciao for now!

Getting Organised

After the most hectic week there was only one obvious choice of what my next blog post was going to be about – getting organised!

I am an avid lover of absolutely all things stationary, from pens to notepads, sticky notes to planners, I’ve got them in abundance. All which I believe are key tools for helping have my shit together, or at least giving the illusion that I do. So I thought I would give you a sneak peak of my desktop and some of my top tips on keeping organised.

Tip No 1 – Create a working space you love

After years of working from my bed or sharing my Mum’s office I decided to create my own little working space to keep all things work and university separate from my down time. Now you can’t get me away from it! My desk is a mix of personalised trinkets and bright, colourful stationary. Many have fallen into the dreamy marble and rose gold/copper trend (which I also love) I decided to be a little different and keep things bright, but still a little cosy at the same time.

My pen pots (technically cups) are both Ben De Lisi that I picked up from the sale shelf in Debenhams and I absolutely LOVE them, especially the mug. The clapperboard light, an ode to my filmmaking degree, was from Primark (!!) and you can write on it too! Last but not least, I couldn’t not have a candle and this Rhubarb Flower one from Marks & Spencer is without a doubt my favourite of all time.

Tip No 2 – Keep a planner!

This beautiful leafy planner is the latest edition to my stationary family and I don’t know about you but a new planner, ready to be filled with plans and notes is my idea of heaven. I picked this up from TK Maxx (the promise land) for only £6.99 and it’s everything I could ever wish for. The front section is a month-to-view calendar followed by week-to-view, starting from September 2017 to December 2018. This is great for jotting down important dates at the front and then more detailed weekly notes.

Tip No 3 – Make ALL the lists

I absolutely love making to-do lists and I honestly don’t know how I would survive without my trusty 5 Days A Week notepad. I usually fill this out either on a Sunday night or Monday morning, using my planner for reference, to see everything I need to do that week. This keeps me on top of all the week’s goings on and any little odd jobs that I can’t forget to do. This specific pad is by which I think is an American company but I got this at TK Maxx (again, the promise land) and you can get their stuff from (another promise land if you love quirky, illustrated stationary like me).

My second beloved desk-pad is this “Stuff To Do” pad. I got this from the August Papergang box, a monthly stationary subscription service from Yes, you heard correctly I have a monthly stationary subscription. The addiction is real. However this month in particular was my absolute DREAM as it was all stationary by Gemma Correll, my ultimate fave illustrator. (If you haven’t checked her out you really, really should). I use this to make any little to-do lists or planning lists I need to make and it also helps that it’s super adorable too!

So that’s I how manage (somehow) to keep myself organised. I think they’re pretty standard tips for organisation but I was really excited to share them!

Until next time!

New Beginnings

So I am fully prepared for this to be the most cliche first blog post in the history of first blog posts, but everyone has to start somewhere don’t they!

So I’d been putting off blogging for a really long time, giving myself the excuses that I don’t have enough time, no one will ever read it, I’m not good enough etc etc.. but considering there is a lot of change and a lot of new-ness happening in my life right now, it just seemed like the perfect time to bite the bullet and go for it.

So where do I start really? Time for the biggest cliche, “all about me”. I’m Becki, I’m 22 and I live in the not-so-sunny seaside town that is Blackpool. Basically the shite version of Brighton. I recently graduated BA (hons) Digital Production and Filmmaking with First Class Honours (well done me!) and after working in the digital / film / TV industry throughout my education I have decided to go back to university to complete my PGCE and go on to teach at college level whilst working as a freelancer! If it seems like a lot and seems like I’m crazy that’s probably because both of those things are true.

I am an avid lover of all things lifestyle, beauty and fashion. I read lots of blogs and I watch way, way too much YouTube. This, of course, has been my biggest inspiration to start my blog, and if they can do it, well I might as well give it my best shot.

At this point, I’m not really sure what the main focus of my blog is going to be, a bit of everything really as I don’t really want to limit myself this early on.

All I know is that I’m excited and I’m really happy that I’ve finally taken the plunge. That’s me and I guess that’s all you need to know for the time being, let’s see how this goes!

Ciao for now!
